ADWOA REY, OWNER/CHIEF STRATEGIST 

2018.11.30 Adwoa Rey 00002revYour Seat At The Table’s Owner/Chief Strategist, Adwoa Rey, has over a decade of corporate, government, and non-profit experience. She has planned and managed over 100 events including small to large scale meetings, conferences, forums, workshops, concerts, fundraisers, congressional visits, receptions, and tours of government agencies.

Adwoa currently serves as Director of Finance and Development at The Faith & Politics Institute, an organization that advances our democracy by bringing Members of Congress together around common values to bridge political, racial, and religious divides.

Most recently, Adwoa served as President/CEO of Faith Link Inc., where she led the organization’s efforts to provide policy education and advocacy training to faith communities across the nation. Prior to that, Adwoa served as Manager of Federal Affairs at The New England Council, the nation’s oldest regional business organization, where she advocated for the interests of over 350 businesses across the six-state New England region in Washington, D.C. She was responsible for healthcare, education, and transportation policy.

Adwoa served in several key roles on Capitol Hill, including Special Assistant to the Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, Connecticut Congressman John Larson, the 5th ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives, where she coordinated outreach and provided policy and administrative support to the 231 Democratic members of the House of Representatives. Adwoa also served as a political fundraiser for federal, state, and local candidates.

Adwoa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Southern Connecticut State University and her Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies with a concentration in religion, ethics and public policy from Howard University School of Divinity. Adwoa holds a management certificate from Harvard Business School and has studied leadership and ethics at The John F. Kennedy School of Government.
